The Medical Mycology Society of Nigeria is an interdisciplinary professional society focused on generating much needed public health data on serious fungal infections in Nigeria and driving advocacy for better care of populations at risk.
The society also holds an annual invasive fungal infection forum (IFIF) to promote awareness amongst health care practitioners and train laboratory personnel to diagnose fungal infections.
The Medical Mycology Society of Nigeria is set to hold its first annual conference from the 10th to 12th of April, 2019.
The theme of this maiden edition is ‘Managing mycoses: Circumventing challenges in a developing country’.

The 3 day event holds at the National Institute for Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos. A pre-conference workshop on Practical laboratory diagnosis of fungal infections is scheduled to take place from 8th-9th April, 2019 at Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
